Welcome to 35th South West Cheshire (Wistaston) Scout Group

Wistaston Scout Group (35th South West Cheshire) currently has 100 youth members divided into six sections, two each of Beavers (6 to 8 years), Cubs (8 to 10 years) and Scouts (10 to 14 years).

We have a very strong group of young leaders, 14 to 18 years of age, many of whom go on to become adult leaders in the group. We currently have in excess of 30 adult leaders.

The group has strong links to the local community including Wistaston Parish Council and Wistaston St Mary’s church. The group also hosts Drake Explorer Unit who use our premises for meetings.

The group was established in 1958 and has recently celebrated its 65th anniversary. We have a new building which is less than five years old which we own and where we meet. A full history of the group can be found by clicking the History button.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
