Summer Camp 2024 – The Movie is here!

25 Scouts, 15 Explorers, and 25 Leaders form an elite force known as Top Gun, in Machynlleth for the 35th SWC’s Summer Camp 2024!

After seven days, we’re happy as champs.

Firelighting and fire cooking, at day and at night,
The feasts were like the Scouts, they were just a delight.

From dipping and diving, to climbing and caving,
Oh what an adventure to satisfy the craving.

We learnt and we made great things, so grand,
The Scouts built a future with their very own hands.

As Top Gun, our pilots made mission a success,
Life for leaders was easy, no stress.

At Big Red the long wire went zip zip wahoo,
I’m not scared, you’re scared, before we go we should p..

Patrol shopping and budgeting, Co-op was our friend,
Helping our resources extend to the end.

No phones, no WiFi, no PlayStation, no TikTok,
We’re on camp, we love the time, enjoyed the moment, no knock-knock.

25 leaders on Summer Camp again,
We love it, we adore it, this is our zen.

But 25 leaders is one heck of a feat,
There’s just no way another group could compete.

From Smithy to Buzz, and some of us with fuzz,
From short to tall, we stand like a wall,
For the 35th shall never ever fall.

Another year, another one,
With memories from the time that’s gone.

Oh Summer Camp your time is complete,
We’ll see you next year, oh what a treat.
